About this print

One suit, two completely different kinds of power. I painted Ulquiorra as the Ace of Clubs in his Resurrección: Segunda Etapa, with black wings that spill past the card’s border. Turn the painting around and there’s Josuke, the Jack of Clubs, wearing a little grin with Crazy Diamond at his shoulder. I liked the idea of putting a power that can piece things back together opposite a figure who looks like he could tear the whole card apart.

This original watercolor is one of the designs for my upcoming anime crossover playing card deck. The finished deck will be available to buy and play with.
